This session took place at a spot that Olivia and Elliot hold most dear – their first date spot. Way down on the Chattooga River in North Georgia, these two invited us to explore the river in depth. Traversing the slippery rocks, freshly deserted snake skins, and looking beneath the surface (literally lol), we spent the early morning hours chasing the soft rays of sunshine.
The whole session was lovely and intentional and meaningful and full of child-like joy. The type of encounter that left Luke and I both feeling refreshed and inspired.

My philosophy on photos and locations has changed a little recently. I want to document LIFE. To capture memories at a place where memories are already being made. This makes your photos even that much more meaningful.

So when you’re planning your engagement session, try to think of places that already hold some of your favorite memories. This could be your favorite date spot, your apartment, or even Waffle House. Life is short so why take boring photos?
